Synchronicity Part Three

Even the backbone of scepticism, science and rationality, clinging to apophenia and probability, cannot entirely refute the collective unconscious. Some scientists see a theoretical grounding for synchronicity in quantum physics, fractal geometry, and chaos theory. Physicists have shown, for example, that if two photons are separated, no matter by how far, a change in one creates a simultaneous change in the other.

Even in the deconstruction of the meaning of life, the ultimate extension of rationality onto the human condition leads to Darwinism, and Freud's theories of us as socialized animals.

But Freud and Jung had their differences.

Philosophically speaking, absolute rationality will eventually pave the way to predetermination. According to Freud, the unconscious is linked exclusively to the primal, id mentality, obsessed, as Freud deduced, with sex and violence, reducing our reason for being to instinctual animalism and evolutionary conquest. According to Freud, unconscious behaviour manifested through catharsis and sublimation, the two remaining potential outlets of the soul, express a nihilism that is complimentary to our own Darwinian inclinations. Jung, on the other hand, built upon this rationality to see this as the gateway to the collective unconscious.

These are the kinds of messages that Creative Wonders is interested in. Our creative operates along these lines, lines that people will pay attention to and believe in. By operating with openness, honesty and acceptance our mission is simple: to make the world a more conscious place by illuminating conscious alternatives.
